Sissu sits at roughly 3,100 m in the Lahaul valley, reached by road through the Atal Tunnel from Manali — open even in October and November, when the old Rohtang Pass would be closed.

~38–40 km · 1–1.5 hrs via NH-3 and the Atal Tunnel. The easiest and most scenic approach.

From Chandigarh

~320 km · 8–9 hrs by road. Most travellers stop overnight in Manali on the way up.

From Delhi

~570 km · 2 days — best broken with a night in Mandi or Manali before the final leg.
